About the Event

The 21st Incline Star Follies will be returning to Incline Village after a 4 year absence.  We are now partnering with Incline Education Fund to make sure our proceeds are used where they are needed the most.

All 8th grade IMS students are invited to participate.  Applications will be due by Friday 1/26.  We will be taking up to 16 students, and acceptance will be via a random drawing from all valid applications.  There are no auditions and no requirement for past dance or performance experience.  The only requirement for student participants is that they do not have any severe disciplinary issues at school and that they continue to live up to their responsibilities at school - classwork will continue to be top priority.

At this time, we plan to have the 8th graders rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays immediately after school and will be about 90 minutes in duration.  Rehearsals will likely start the week of 2/19/24 and will continue weekly until the show (no rehearsals will be held over February break or Spring break).

Cast members are asked to contribute a small cast member fee and there will be a costume expense as well.  However, we do provide scholarships for students that cannot contribute the fee and we attempt to keep costume requirements simple - monetary assistance is available as well.

In addition to IMS 8th graders, we will also be allowing IES 5th graders, and all grade levels at IHS to apply.  Up to 16 students will be accepted from each school.

Finally, we are also looking for adults who would like to participate in the adult cast.  Again, we do not hold auditions and we do not require any level of dance or performance talent - we just want people who are looking to have fun, meet new people, and help raise money for our public schools.  Rehearsal commitments vary for adults.  We ask adults to be willing to participate in 2 small group numbers - each of which will likely rehearse for 1 hour once or twice each week.

Any questions can be directed to Kathie Goldberg (kathie_goldberg@yahoo.com).
